This 75 minute walking tour will introduce you to Mr. F.O. Stanley, his wife Flora, Stephen King, and other noteworthy visitors of last 110 years. The Stanley Day Tour is a unique way to experience the hotel’s history, architecture, folklore, and pop culture with a knowledgeable storyteller. Each tour offers you opportunities to explore, ask questions, and perhaps leave with a few stories of your own. Age: 8+. Length: 75 minute walking tour. Please note: the tour route varies based on availability, time of day, and time of year. Tours will never go into guest rooms. Group size and ticket limit = 6. We do not accommodate large parties of family/friends on one public tour time. Buying out over a quantity of 6 tickets per tour is not permitted as a courtesy to the guide and other tour-goers. His voice can be heard on countless national commercials from United Artists Theaters, IBM and Toyota to Greyhound and Kentucky Fried Chicken. And as Mr. Squirrel on the PBS Saturday Morning Series“The Big Green Rabbit.” He’s shared the stage with Bob Hope, Stevie Wonder, Angela Brown and Stan Getz. And has appeared in national and regional productions of Porgy and Bess, Ain’t Misbehavin, Blues In The Night, A Brief History Of White Music, Showboat, The Full Monty, The Buddy Holly Story and as the voice of the plant in Little Shop Of Horrors.
